Kensington Commons began development in early 1993 through Coral Ridge Properties (later named WCI) and was completed in 1996 comprising 158 private homes and a park.  There were approx. 8 builders and approx. 12 different home models.

Kensington itself is comprised of: Kensington Gardens, Kensington Commons, Chelsea at Kensington, Kensington Green, & Parkwood at Kensington.
